Your postpartum period is deeply sacred and treating it as such is so important in you healing process, and transition to motherhood. You have just come back from bringing your baby Earth-side. I am here to ensure you feel held, supported and heard during this sacred time.

Doulas are not a ‘new thing’, throughout the world and all through history there have been women who support women becoming mothers. In many countries the art of caring for a mother in her fourth trimester is still strong. Sadly in our Western culture our ‘village’ isn’t what it once was, and becoming a mama is often isolating.

as your postpartum doula

I'll visit you at home with nourishing meals and snacks for the whole family, and I always arrive with a warm drink for you. I'll be whoever you need me to be: a friend, a shoulder to cry on, a source of knowledge, or just company. There's no one-size-fits-all approach. Your visit might be a cuppa in the sunshine, a birth debrief, a relaxing massage, or me changing your sheets and entertaining your other children while you rest.

I'm a mum myself, a registered nurse with neonatal unit experience, a Newborn Developmental Care practitioner, and I hold a postgraduate degree in mental health nursing. I have extensive knowledge of breastfeeding and infant care, and I'll work with your own parenting values to empower you through this transition.

good to know

  • Travel within the Riverland is included in all prices. If you live more than 100km from Waikerie, a travel fee applies.

  • Payment plans are available. I believe every woman deserves a doula and can tailor a package and or payment plan to suit your needs.

  • Discounts are available for my virtual doula clients, as well as Birth Blueprint clients.

  • This my only rule as your doula, that you do NOT clean your home, get out off bed/off the couch, showered or dressed for my visit. All that I ask is you are comfortable (p.j’s encouraged) in bed, or on the lunge cuddling your baby.

  • All my visits will be preplanned to a time and day that suits you, but I understand how quickly things can change those early weeks, and should you need to reschedule we can arrange that.
