My story

I’m Chloe, I am a neonatal registered nurse , childbirth educator, Neuroprotective Developmental Care Practitioner (Possum’s Program), and a Hypnobirthing Australia Practitioner. I have a postgraduate in mental health nursing, and am currently completing my Midwifery degree. My other passion is helping mamas lower the toxins within their homes and I am a proud Young Living brand partner.

I became a mama in 2019 and have two beautiful girls, Lucy and Audrey.

Between babies my fiance and I left Adelaide to return to my home town of Waikerie on the River Murray. We enjoy the slow life, and spend our time renovating our beautiful old home, and travelling.

When I left school (many moons ago) I studied Beauty Therapy and also spent some years travelling and working as a Governess, live-in nanny and a Beauty Therapist in the Whitsundays, outback Queensland, Mornington Peninsula and Adelaide.

I have always had a passion for the health care of women and babies, in particular birth and postpartum education.

I bring an immense knowledge base on breastfeeding, everything newborn babies and childbirth education. A major part of my role as a neonatal nurse was supporting mama’s at the beginning of their breast or bottle feeding journey. I am also working towards becoming an IBCLC.

I have worked at both of the major hospitals in Adelaide and seen first-hand the restrictions our healthcare system places on birthing women. I have seen the lack of knowledge surrounding birthing rights, the very limited options for continuity of care, and the nonexistent postpartum care and support for new mamas.

My first pregnancy was through a Midwifery Group Practice program in Adelaide, and my second was here in the Riverland. It was my last pregnancy experience

made me realise how little choice and opportunity rural women have for continuity and adequate care, I am here to help change that.

My mission & philosophy

My mission is to walk beside mamas and their families through the magical transformative time that is pregnancy, birth and postpartum, gently guiding and leaving you to feel, supported, informed & enlightened.

I believe birth is the biggest shift a woman will go through in her life, to is unmatched and will change you in a spiritual and emotional way you never knew possible. I also believe birth is a normal physiological process that you were made to do, that sadly in our modern world has been medicalised and managed far too often.

I am here to be on your team as you transition from maiden to mama, or mama of more. I am an unbiased source of information, and shoulder to lean on. I also provide reassurance, tools & techniques, practical evidence based information, guidance.

My

work with people during their transition into parenthood is centred around providing insight, guidance, support, reassurance, practical information, tools and techniques. I have a passion for physiological birth, however there is no “right way” to birth, and I adore working with families as they empower themselves to make informed and aligned decisions that are best suited to them and their unique pregnancy, birth & postpartum journey.

I want mamas to be given time to heal, rest and bond postpartum with a tribe looking out for the both of them.

I want you to feel in control, powerful and nurtured as you embark on your journey to become mama.

My mission is to….

/be the continuity that is desperately needed

/help women know their basic birthing rights

/give birthing women and their partners the confidence to advocate for themselves and bring their babies into the world without fear or anxiety.

/birthing women to stop getting lost in the system and to feel empowered postpartum, not isolated, and left to find their way through on their own.

/for no woman to feel alone in her pregnancy, to hold fear surrounding birth, or feel they need to adapt or change their birthing preferences to suit the medicalised process that birthing has become.
